Zachary Alan Petzel

Age 34, of Otsego.  Passed away on December 24, 2025, in Coon Rapids, MN.

He is preceded in death by his father, Ronald Petzel; grandparents, Melvin and Carol Petzel, Margaruite Schendel, and Melvin Goltz; uncles, Donald Goltz and Randy Petzel; aunt, Cindy Lueck.

Zac is survived by his children, Zoey and Zayden, and their mother, Miranda Dahlheimer; mother, Dona Petzel; siblings, Kelly (Anthony) Ingram and their son, Deklan, Tyler (Sarah) Petzel and his children, Harlyn and Manix, and Katelyn (Maybrick) Madsen; step-mother, Karen Petzel; step-grandfathers, Gerald Schendel and Clint Ford; uncle, Mike (Shelly) Goltz; aunts, Mary (Kevin) Rathai, Jacqueline (Lucas) Segarra, Sue (Tom) Bambenek, and Vickie (Scott) Shifflett; cousins and many friends.

Zac was a skilled and talented carpenter.  He enjoyed fishing, watching, playing and wagering on sports, pull tabs, and snowmobiling.  Above all else, Zac was a loving and devoted father who treasured time spent with kids and family.  His charismatic smile will live forever in our hearts.

A Celebration of Zac’s life will be on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 2:30 PM at Dare’s Funeral Home, 805 Main St NW, Elk River, with visitation starting at 1:00 PM.

Following the service, the Celebration will continue at Cowboy Jacks’s, 9010 Quantrelle Ave, Otsego, MN 55330 at 4:30 PM.
