Yvonne 'Vona' (Nelson) Mathisen

Yvonne R. ‘Vona’ Mathisen, age 77; affectionately known as ‘Lala’ to her grandkids, passed away on October 23rd.  She was very active in the Elk River Alano and sponsored many members. She joins in Heaven her parents, Magnus and Helen Nelson; sisters, Joyce and Marilyn; and beloved son, Michael. She will be deeply missed by her children, James Dalsin, Amy (Ray) Rauch; Angie Dalsin, Rachael (Bryan) Jones, Mary Dalsin; grandchildren, Nicholas, Matthew, Madison, Abigail, Madilyn, Chancellor, Clayton, Marlie, Ella, Ellis, Lydia; sister, Marjorie (Terrance); and many close friends.

In lieu of flowers memorials preferred.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, October 29; at the Lakewood Memorial Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Ave – Minneapolis, at 2:00 pm with a visitation beginning at 1:30 pm.
