Winifred Ann (Jerome) Yaratz

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Elk River, MN, for Winifred Ann Yaratz, who passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at Mercy Hospital. Visitation will be one hour prior. Burial will be at St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery.

Winifred Ann Yaratz was born on June 20, 1941, to Howard Lee Jerome and Marceline Marsha (Blake) Jerome in Burlington, Vermont. She Married James John Yaratz Jr. and they went on to have a beautiful family raising two children: James and Wendy.

She loved traveling, she visited all 50 states, which she completed this year with the last state being Hawaii. She enjoyed reading and making crafts to give to loved ones. She will be remembered for her loving and kind nature. Above all she cherished the time spent with her family. She will be missed dearly.

She is survived by her children, James John Yaratz III (Carol) and Wendy Ann Walter (Tony); grandchildren, Chelsea Lynn Daniels (Justin) and Josh James Yaratz (Alyssa); great-grandchildren, Alivia, Jax, Kia and Addison; sister, Ruth Dergerabedian; many nieces nephews and other loved ones.

Winifred is preceded in death by her loving husband James John Yaratz Jr., parents, siblings, Howard, Leonard, and Rita.
