Viola "Vi" (Boettcher) Ehlenfelt

Vi, age 96 of Elk River, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2024 at Guardian Angels Care Center in Elk River. 
Vi was born in Elba, MN to Reinhold and Ottilia (Page) Boettcher on May 15, 1928. She married the love of her life, Dale, on August 30, 1945, celebrating  60 years of marriage before Dale's passing in 2005. 
In 1955, they moved their family to Blaine, then in 1963, they moved to Elk River. Together they loved spending time with their family and friends, while fishing and traveling. After their retirement, they wintered in Mission, Texas with family and friends. 
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dale; her parents; and her sisters and brothers. 
She will be missed by her children, Jerry (Sue), Bob, Sue (Ray) Gutzwiller, and Cindy (Scott) Philipps; grandchildren, Jenna (Chad) Weiland, Bryan (Kara) Gutzwiller, and Jake Philipps; great-grandchildren, Ellery, Gemma, and Brekk Weiland, Grady, and Audra Gutzwiller; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.  
Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 with visitation one hour prior at Central Lutheran Church, 1103 School Street NW, Elk River. Interment will follow at Orono Cemetery in Elk River. Lunch will be provided at the church after the burial. Many thanks to the caring staff of Guardian Angels and Triniti Hospice who lovingly tended to Vi.
