Viola Mae (Balderston) Jensen

Vi passed peacefully in her sleep at 92 years of age. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert ‘Bob’ Jensen and son Donald Jensen.

Survived by her sister Betty Boen (Gordon), children Sherri Stern (John), Daniel Jensen (Susan), Cyndi Costello (Michael) and Robert ‘Bobby’Jensen. Grandchildren Paul Jensen, Kurt Jensen, Matthew Jensen, Chad Herring, Krista (Herring) Young, Mark K. Heurkins, Jon Costello, Amanda Costello, Elizabeth Jensen, Megan Jensen and Robert B. Jensen and many other family members and friends.

Vi was born in Kittson County Minnesota, marrying Bob in 1945. During their marriage they lived in Lancaster, MN and Superior, WI before moving to the Minneapolis suburb of Blaine in 1962 where they made their home with many loving neighbors for the next 30 years. Upon retiring they traveled spending time with family and friends across the country from Virginia to Arizona, often returning to Minnesota in the summers.

Vi was known far and wide for her love of cooking, from the early 1970's through the mid 1990's Vi kept busy with her Catering Business.

In her spare time Vi enjoyed bowling in her younger years and enjoyed playing Bingo and crafts like sewing and crocheting.

No memorial service will be held due to the need of social distancing.

Vi's remains will be buried with her husband at Morningside Memorial Gardens.
