Age 75, of Hutchinson. Passed away peacefully on March 17, 2024 at Elk River Senior Living.

Vicki was born on November 24, 1948 in Valley City, ND. In her youth, the family relocated to Hutchinson, MN, where she was baptized and confirmed in her faith at Bethany Baptist Church. Vicki graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1966 and continued her education at the University of Minnesota, Mankato State University, and St. Cloud State University, where she earned her degree.

In September of 1971, Vicki was united in marriage to Darwin Hoeft at Bethany Baptist Church. This marriage was blessed with 2 daughters, Jennifer and Rachelle.

Vicki was proud to be employed by 3M Hutchinson for 36 years, where she began on the production floor and retired as a Information Technology Technician in 2015.

Vicki was an active member of Christ the King Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School and Confirmation for many years, held a board seat, and participated in bible study. Vicki enjoyed volunteering for other organizations such as Habit for Humanity, a local hospice agency, and Common Cup Ministry which gathers the resources of area churches into one "Common Cup" to minister to those in need. Vicki was proud to participate in mission trips around the country where she met many who became long-time friends.

Vicki found time for weekend get-aways with her girlfriends, traveling, including a trip to the Holy Land in 2013, walking, hosting her family and decorating for holidays, spending time with her grandchildren, and reading, particularly on the topic of comparative religious studies.

Together, Vicki and Darwin enjoyed spending time with friends, many of whom go back to their high school years, at car shows, dinners at J’s Pizza, family birthday parties, lunches at Hutch Café, or cruising up and down Main Street.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Darwin; parents, Ruth and Harlow Stillings; brother, John Stillings; nephew, Josh Stillings; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Frieda and William Hoeft; brother-in-law, Dennis Willard; niece, Janelle Olson.

Vicki is survived by her daughters, Jennifer (Kevin) Leistico and Rachelle Hoeft (Aaron Johnson); grandchildren, Jamisen Hoeft (Brianna Schwartz); Lillian and Eleanor Leistico, Dreyten Hoeft, Hendrix, Aria, and Emery Johnson; brothers, Dennis (Cathryn) Stillings, Robert (Jeana) Stillings , and Greg (Bich) Stillings; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Stillings and Belva Willard; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Funeral service at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 25, 2024 at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 1040 South Grade Road SW, Hutchinson, with visitation starting at 10:00 AM. Visitation also on Sunday, March 24th from 4:00 – 7:00 PM, also at Christ the King Lutheran Church.

Interment Oakland Cemetery.
