Age 58, of Monticello, Minnesota, died peacefully surrounded by family and friends on June 18, 2024. Troy was larger than life and lived his life in an equally colossal way. He was generous, kind, and thoughtful and never met a stranger. Troy was strong-willed and lived on his own terms. His friends say he was the funniest guy around! If it had a motor, Troy would love it, especially his motorhome. Many camping trips and marvelous miles were logged en route to the next adventure. One place that had special meaning to Troy was their vacation home in Florida. His dogs, Max and Millie held a special place in his heart. He was loved by so many, will be eternally missed and his memory forever cherished.

He was preceded in death by his parents Duane and Beverly Engels; Surviving are his devoted wife, Renee Engels; son Jacob (Niki) Engels; stepchildren Victoria (Matt), and Tyler (Kassie); and many good friends.
