Thomas was born on April 20, 1947, to Albert (Babe) and LaVerne (Lofberg) Constant in Minneapolis, MN. He graduated from Elk River High School in 1965. He married the love of his life Diane on June 26,1971, at St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Rogers. They went on to have a beautiful family, having two children: Josh and Jenny. Thomas worked as a Draftsman at Mate Precision Tooling for 38 years until his retirement in 2011. He was a very involved member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church and Otsego Parks and Trails.
Thomas loved trips to the boundary waters, which he had taken since he was 10 years old, fishing, camping, traveling, swimming, snowmobiling, and campfires. He enjoyed tinkering in his garage; he was a self-proclaimed fabricator. He will be remembered for his loving, gentle, and positive nature. Above all Thomas cherished the time spent with family, he was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He was a bright light in so many lives and will be missed dearly.
Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Diane; children, Josh (Sara) and Jenny (Shane) Bauer; grandchildren, Hartley, Brock, and Elizabeth, and many friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
In 2014 Thomas was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease, the family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Struthers Parkinson’s Clinic in Golden Valley in care of Park Nicollet in his memory. https://www.healthpartners.com/care/specialty-centers/struthers-parkinsons-center/donate/donate-form/
