Obituary
Age 87 of Fridley
Passed away peacefully into the presence of our Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 6, 2023. She was greeted in heaven by her parents Garland and Thelma Workman; daughter Marjorie; grandson James; and several sisters. She was a coal miner’s daughter and the oldest of ten. She met her husband on a blind date while she was working in Washington D.C. Together they raised their 3 children. She served her family with quiet grace and selfless kindness. The first Saturday after Thanksgiving was dedicated to making lefse which she enjoyed sharing. Sue is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Gerald; children David, and Rebecca (Dan); many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several siblings. A celebration of life service to remember Sue will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Woodcrest Baptist Church, 6875 University Avenue NE, Fridley, MN. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Woodcrest Baptist Church.
