Stephen Anthony Bakos

Stephen Anthony Bakos, age 62 of Princeton, passed away peacefully at home on August 27, 2024. He was born July 31, 1962 in Princeton to John and Janice (Wesloh) Bakos.

Family meant the world to Stephen, and he cherished his role as a loving uncle to his nieces and nephews. He had an easy way of making people feel comfortable, and his generosity and kindness will be deeply missed by all.

Faith was paramount in his life, and he was a faithful member of the Catholic Church of Saint Andrew.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John Stephen and Janice Bakos; and brother, John Michael Bakos.

Stephen is survived by his siblings, Jean Bakos, Nancy Bakos, Patrick (Patty) Bakos, Theresa Bakos, Paul (Kris) Bakos; nieces and nephews, Natalie, Chuck, Jenny, Marcia, Brooke, Chad, Matt, Caleb, Stephanie, Julie, Jackie; and many great-nieces and great-nephews; and numerous friends.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 10, 2024 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Dare’s Funeral Home, 805 Main St NW, Elk River, MN. A Mass of Christian of Burial will be held Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 12:30 PM, with visitation beginning at 11:30 AM, at the Church of Saint Andrew, 566 4th ST NW, Elk River, MN. Burial will be at St. Pius X Catholic Cemetery in Zimmerman, MN.
