Of Elk River, Minnesota, passed away on March 18, 2026.
Sandy was born on January 20, 1959, to William and LaVonne Robbin in St. Cloud, Minnesota. She grew up in Circle Pines and graduated from Centennial High School in 1978. Following the passing of her parents, Sandy spent a short time in a group home in Coon Rapids, where she learned to live independently. She went on to work as a dietary aide at a local nursing home for over 20 years. Later, she moved to Elk River to be closer to her family.
Sandy had a generous heart and a beautiful smile that she shared with everyone. She formed many lasting friendships throughout her life, both at work and in her community. At her apartment building, Sandy became the unofficial welcoming committee. She loved baking cookies and delivering them to her neighbors, cooking meals, and inviting friends over to share them.
Sandy had a special way of making everyone feel valued and loved. She adored her nieces and nephews and cherished time with them. She enjoyed crab legs as a special treat, listening to Kenny Rogers, watching her favorite soap operas and Law & Order, and cheering on the Minnesota Vikings. Sundays during football season were especially lively—her enthusiastic calls and texts brought laughter to all: “Touchdown!” “How did he miss that kick?” “Those referees need glasses!” “Where’s our defense?” Sandy even had on her voicemail message, you have reached “The Vikings Queen” It was always great fun—Go Vikings!
Sandy is survived by her sisters: Michelle Robbin; her twin sister, Susie Robbin Overholser (Delwin); and Cindy Robbin Jones (Tod); as well as 13 nieces and nephews and 15 great-nieces and great-nephews, along with many extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Lisa Robbin; her great-aunt Julia; and her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and friends.
Sandy will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
