Sandra (Truchinski) Mast

Sandra Mast, age 74, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. She was born September 21, 1951 in Minneapolis, the daughter of John and Florence (Fisher) Truchinski.

Sandy married Myron Leroy Mast and the two were blessed with a daughter, Marci. Myron passed at the age of 54, just 8 days after Sandy’s birthday. Through that heartache, Sandy’s strong will kept her going and moving forward through it all.

She worked as a cashier at Cub Foods in Elk River until her retirement. She loved meeting people and interacting with the customers. She also enjoyed television shows, spending time with family and friends, and she greatly enjoyed being a Mom.

She was the most loyal and protective person one would meet, with the perfect mixture of feistiness. A true matriarch, she will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Myron Mast; and parents, John and Florence Truchinski.

Sandy is survived by her daughter, Marci Mast; beloved cat, Boo; sister, Nancy Morafka; nieces and nephews, Tami (John) Hodgman, Renee Morafka, Bob Morafka Jr., Connie Morafka; great-nieces and great-nephews, Stephanie (Joel) Vanderbilt, Trevor Hodgman; great-great-niece, Jade; great-great-nephew, Mason; and many other family and friends.
