Ryan Ebert Obituary

It is with great sadness we announce that Ryan Ebert, 44, of Elk River, Minnesota, passed away unexpectedly on October 18, 2025.

Ryan was the beloved son of Lawrence Ebert and the late Carol (Drevlow) Ebert, a loving and devoted father to Charlie and Brigham, whom he raised with their mother, former wife Ginene Ebert. He was a caring partner and rock to his girlfriend Mariann and her two daughters, a devoted brother and best friend to Chad and Eric, and a proud uncle who adored his nieces and nephews beyond measure.

Ryan was a steady presence in every life he touched, someone you could always count on. Compassionate, always willing to help, and putting others before himself with every act. His last act of kindness before leaving this life was saving multiple others through organ donation.

He was a celebrated and dedicated police officer with the St. Cloud Police Department for 18 years, serving his community with pride, humility, and deep care. His courage and compassion made him a respected officer receiving multiple Live Saving Awards, and a trusted friend to his fellow officers and the community he served.

Above all, Ryan’s greatest joy was his family. His children were his world, and he poured endless love, support and humor into every moment with them. He took after his mother Carol in his gentle spirit, and we take comfort in knowing they are reunited in heaven.

We welcome you to come and say goodbye to Ryan on Thursday, October 23 between 5:00 and 8:00 PM, at Gateway Church, Elk River. Casual attire is appreciated. A celebration of Ryan’s life will be held in Christ Church, Otsego, on Friday, October 24, with the opportunity to say your final goodbyes between 9:00 and 10:00 AM. The service will commence at 10:00 AM. Navy blue or black attire is appreciated.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ryan’s family. To support Ryan’s beloved children Charlie and Brigham, checks can be made out to LELS. To support Ryan’s beloved partner Mariann and her two daughters Hallie and Julia, checks can be made out to Mariann Hansen.

To know Ryan was to be privileged. Ryan’s kindness, laughter, and love will live on in all who were lucky enough to know him.

Ryan was survived by his children Charlie and Brigham Ebert, former wife Ginene Ebert, father Lawrence Ebert, brothers Chad and Eric Ebert, grandmother Peggy Drevlow, partner family Mariann, Hallie and Julia Hansen.

Ryan was preceded in death by mother Carol Drevlow Ebert, uncle Mark Drevlow, grandfather Lawrence Drevlow and grandparents Lawrence and Peggy Ebert.
