Rosemary "Rosie" Lupien Obituary

Rosie Lupien, age 75, of Rogers, MN passed away peacefully on November 24th, 2023, at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, Minnesota, after her short battle with lung cancer.

Rosie was born on April 4th, 1948, to the late Clemence and Margit (Koehler) Hammer. She graduated from New York Mills High School in 1966. She married Jim Lupien on November 25th, 1967 and together they raised their two son’s, Craig and Jason in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. In 2004 they built a new townhome in Rogers, MN to live closer to their kids' growing families. Rosie worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis in the cash and electronic tax departments for 42 years. It was there that she made lifelong friends.

Rosie was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She always ensured her house was filled with an abundance of laughter and love. She was an avid reader, had a great sense of humor, and enjoyed spending time on the river at the Traveler’s Country Club on the Mississippi. Her four grandchildren were the light of her life, and she spoiled them with her love. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her, and her memory will be treasured.

Rosie is survived by her husband Jim of 56 years; son’s Craig (Renee) and Jason (Kristin) Lupien; four grandchildren Ashley Lupien and her partner Dylan Sanchez, Cole, Ethan, and Logan Lupien; brother-in-law Dennis Lupien and his longtime partner Pat Finberg; niece’s Christina Barton and her children Chancellor, Kennedy, and Acacia Barton, Tonia Hammer and her son Hunter; Rachel (Steve) Meech and their children Carissa (Nick) Mitchell, Luke (Tori) Meech, and Wyatt (Samantha) Meech; Barb (Jerry) Hawe, Lynet Wesley; nephews Neil Hammer and Dennis Leonard; and many other family members and friends.
