Roseanne Helen (Barsody) DeBoer

Age 75, of Elk River.  Passed away on July 15, 2023, with her daughter by her side. She fought many illnesses but ultimately died of kidney failure due to complications from liver disease. Many family and friends were able to visit her during her last days, which she enjoyed very much.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Stephen and Katherine (Rotz) Barsody; siblings, Barbara Roman, Emma Holzem, Arnold Barsody, Stephen Barsody, Katherine Donten, Joseph Barsody , and Mary Ann Barsody.

Rosie is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Jason) Babler; grandchildren, Emily (Wyatt) Oelkers and Nolan Babler; her sisters, Virgina Stolte and Irene Davis.

Rosie grew up in Elk River, MN on the family farm.  She worked at Cornelius in Payroll for over 40 years until she retired at age 62. One of her greatest joys was spending time with family.  She was a huge part of her grandchildren’s lives and was so proud of them.

She loved crafting, gardening, cooking, refinishing furniture, sewing, and was always willing to lend a helping hand.  Everyone loved Rosie and she will be truly missed.

Word Service of Christian burial at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at The Church of Saint Andrew, 566 – 4th Street NW, Elk River, with visitation starting at 10:00 AM.

Due to allergies, no peace lilies, please.
