Robin (Robb) Dale Gass, 71, passed away peacefully in his home on January 11, 2024, in Elk River, Minnesota. Survived by wife Carol; daughter Nancy Skarohlid (Mark); sons Jeremy Gass (Shawna), Jesse Gass (Sable); parents Duane and Donna Gass; and sister Randy Briggs (Mike). Also survived by his four grandchildren, Sidney (24), Louella (10), Parker (5), Weston (2) and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by brother Rick Gass and grandson Jack McCue. In his younger years, Robb started a construction company that evolved into building custom homes and was a pioneer at building energy efficient and healthy homes. He then started a spray foam insulation company because he firmly believed in the building science of a well-insulated home. As an avid hunter, Robb had a passion for all things bow related, from selling to buying and buying more than he could store or sell. His home away from home was the Elk River Sportsmen’s Club where he was an active member and regular attendee. Robb never called to say, “How are you doing?” but often called to say, “What are you doing?” which was then followed with some type of unique idea or concept he just dreamt up. He will truly be missed for his quick wit and ability to eat popcorn by the shovel full. Sending him good luck for that giant buck, as we know he is out there hunting somewhere.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Please reach out to family for details.
