Renae was born October 3, 1963 to Iver and Elaine Stone. Renae grew up in Ham Lake, Minnesota in a very loving family, surrounded by extended family and close friends. In 1999 she married the love of her life, Bruce Hooker. Together they had two children, Kelsey and Justin whom she cherished.
Renae was a dedicated employee and began her working career at IDS/Ameriprise and ended her career with Barton Sand and Gravel. She often spoke of her co-workers with great affection and appreciation.
She loved her family, her friends, and her animals – she loved life. Her huge smile, infectious laughter and kind heart will be missed and remembered by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and her positive attitude carried her through the last seven years of her struggle with cancer.
Renae died quietly at home in Nowthen, Minnesota of Friday, September 4, 2020. She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Bruce; children, Kelsey and Justin; life-long friends, Ann (Meyer) Julik and Sandy Meyer; father, Iver Stone; brother, Steven Stone and girlfriend, Sandy Eckstrom; mother-in-law, Elaine Hooker; sister-in-law, Diane (Keith) Hooker Backer; nieces, Camille (Scott) Stone Bishop, Alissa (Scott) Stone Ahlers, Layne (Wade) Backer Chiodo and several great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Elaine Stone; father-in-law, Melvin Hooker.
A Celebration of Renae’s life will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Renae’s home. Friends may gather starting at Noon.
