Raymond H. Jones

1/26/27 – 10/30/23 

Age 96, of St Francis, lifelong farmer, died at home with family by his side on October 30, 2023.

He is survived by his children, James, Janine (Nathan) Madsen; daughter-in-law, Cindy Jones; grandchildren, Jenifer (Josh) Davis and Jesse (Heidi) Jones; great-grandsons, Jasper and Oliver; sister, Janis (Andy) Rahman; other relatives and friends.

Ray is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Lillian; son, John; parents, Herbert and Edith (Peterson) Jones; siblings, Dorothy, Tom, and Clifford.

Ray was honored to have served as Mayor of St Francis and was proud to be a resident for 69+ years.  During that time, he was active on the Town and Village Councils and the Planning and Zoning commissions.  He was a Charter member of the St Francis Lions Club and helped to begin Pioneer Days in St Francis.

Special thanks to the staff at Park Nicollet hospice for the loving care provided to Ray.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ray’s name may be directed to the St Francis Lions Club.

Mass of Christian burial at 11:00AM Friday, November 10, 2023 at Christ Our Light Catholic Church, 804 – 7th St S, Princeton, with visitation starting at 10:00AM.
