Ralph M. Swarm

Age 61, of Ramsey.  Passed away tragically on May 25, 2022 as a result of injuries sustained in a barn fire. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harley and Rose Swarm; his step-father, Arnie Scharber; Rose’s special friend, Loren Scharber.

Ralph is survived by his wife of 31 years, Charlotte; son, Eric; “other” son, Camden Goepferd; siblings, Harley Jr. (Carla), Kathy (Billy) VandenBerg, Vivian (Loren) Cramer, Lisa Swarm and Shari (Howard) Bixby; step-brothers, Richard (Beverly) Scharber and Steve (Wendy) Scharber; Charlotte’s parents, David and Inez Kosen; sister-in-law, Cindy Kosen; brother-in-law, Aaron (Geri) Kosen; special friends, Scott Hill, Patrick Brady, Chad LaFore, James Kent and James Palmquist; nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.

Ralph enjoyed hunting, fishing, his Farmall Tractors, tinkering in his shop, beef jerky, brownies, eggs and toast, any and all beef, and his Diet Mt. Dew. He was a member at St. John Lutheran in Elk River, MN and had previously served as an elder and usher. But mostly, he loved all of his family and friends with his entire being. Above all things, Ralph loved his son Eric, more than life itself, Charlotte was a pretty close second!!  Ralph would want you all to know that he died doing what he loved, being surrounded by friends and family working on his barn at his much treasured hunting land. Please tell those you love that you love them and hug them a bit tighter, each and every day !! Life can change in a blink of an eye!!

A Celebration of Ralph’s life will be at 11:00AM on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at St John Lutheran Church, 9231 Viking Blvd NW, Elk River, with visitation starting at 10:00AM. Visitation also on Friday, July 22, 2022 from 4:00 - 7:00PM at Dare's Funeral Home, 805 Main St NW, Elk River.
