Paul graduated from high school in Beloit, WI where he played football, basketball, baseball and track. He attended St. John’s University where he played football and received his degree in education. In 1990 he received his master’s degree. His first teaching job in 1977 was in Grey Eagle, MN where he taught social studies and coached football, basketball and track for three years. In 1980 he began his tenure in Elk River, teaching social studies and coaching football and basketball until accepting the position of Activities Director when Rogers High School opened in 2003. He retired in 2012. Paul’s dedication to his family, friends, students and athletes was unsurpassed. His vitality, laughter and ready smile will long be remembered. He loved going to the hockey arena and football field to watch practices and games. His absolute favorite was hanging out with family and especially his grandchildren, and taking his dog, Boone for walks on his golf cart. We are forever grateful for the lives he touched and impacted and the kindness and support we have received since his loss.
