Patricia (Lund) Kyro

Patricia (Lund) Kyro age 89 of Otsego, MN passed away on July 13, 2025 at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale.
Pat was born August 21, 1935 in rural Menahga, MN to Albert & Anna (Peterson) Lund. She graduated from 8th grade country school at Midway, MN and graduated from Menahga High School in 1953. After meeting in Minneapolis, she married Ruben Kyro in 1955. They moved from Minneapolis to Detroit Lakes in 1962 to start an insurance business. Pat retired as an Insurance Agent in 2000.
Pat loved spending time with family & friends, and volunteering at First Lutheran Church in Detroit Lakes, and Elk River Lutheran Church. Pat enjoyed time at the lake, hiking, camping, doing puzzles, playing games, traveling, working on the family tree, cooking, baking, especially home made bread, the annual lefse making, quilting, and watching Jeopardy & Wheel of Fortune. In Otsego, she enjoyed her outdoor bench and was known as grandma to the neighborhood kids, and friend to all who walked by.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ruben and son Gerald. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her 6 brothers: Sylvan, Henry, Alfred, Virgil, Edwin, and Melvin, and her 5 sisters: Eleanor Sorenson, Clara Kopponen Greenwaldt, Sophie Sakkinen, Effie Baso, and Mabel Tomperi.
Pat was mother to Alan (Kelly) Kyro, Judy (Rick) Soule, and Bruce (Melissa) Kyro. She was grandmother to Matthew (Melissa) Soule, Nathan (Madison) Soule-Pierce, Elisabeth (Jared) McKoskey, Dylan Kyro, and Cody Kyro. She was greatgrandmother to Ryker Soule, Jacob Soule, Everly Soule, Asher McKoskey, and Hazel McKoskey. She was aunt, cousin, and sister-in-law to numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family. She will be forever in our hearts and missed by family and friends.
The service to celebrate her life will be held at Elk River Lutheran Church on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 10:00am for visitation and 11:00am for the service.
