On August 23rd, 2025, Patricia Margaret Davis joined Jesus for eternity. While this is heartbreaking for our family, we know this was the best day of her life as she was welcomed into glory.
Patricia was born on January 8th, 1944, in Pilot Grove, Minnesota, to J. Harold & Margaret Johnson. She grew up on the family farm and attended East Chain High School, graduating in 1962. Pat received her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from The College of Saint Benedict and set out to find that first teaching job. While interviewing in Kenosha, WI, she crossed paths with a young man who was also interviewing, and he was instantly smitten with Patricia. Charlie Davis accepted the job offer in hopes of seeing that striking woman in the green dress. As luck would have it (as God so designed) Mr. Davis spotted the lovely Miss. Johnson who had captured his attention and so began the love story of a lifetime.
Charles Davis took Patricia as his bride on September 27th, 1969, and they began building their home on the banks of the Mississippi in Elk River, where they would raise their family.
Pat taught grades 1- 5 in Anoka over the years while completing her Master’s degree in Counseling. She eventually stepped away from the classroom to homeschool her own children; a calling that brought her much joy.
Pat loved reading the classics, she enjoyed well written work, and she could diagram the heck out of a sentence! Above all, she treasured the Holy Bible & the promises of God. Her faith in Christ shaped all aspects of her life and gave her confidence in her eternal salvation.
Before children, Pat & Charlie enjoyed many ski trips across the US and Canada. Later, their weekends were filled with the kid’s activities and time spent together in God’s word. Once the nest was empty, one of Pat’s favorite things to do was take scenic drives with her beloved, Charlie.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Barbara Johnson & Mary Ellen Loose, and her brother Charles Johnson. She is survived by her adoring husband of 56 years, Charles L. Davis, her children Nathan (Christel) Davis, Emily (Christopher) Bedsted, Anthony (Christina) Davis, and Rachel (Kelley) Foss, and her grandchildren Josephine & Madeline Davis, Elisabeth & Leo Bedsted, Oscar & Levi Davis, and Piper and Reagan Foss. She is also survived by her sister Catherine Freymuller, sister in law Dorothy Johnson, six nephews, and three nieces.
Funeral service at 11:00AM on Friday, August 29, 2025 at Bethany Bible Church, 511 Eagle Lake Road N, Big Lake, with visitation starting at 10:00AM.
