Pamela Ann Morgan was born on March 5, 1948 to William and Ruth Morgan. She grew up in St. Louis Park, MN and graduated with honors from St. Louis Park High School in 1966. Upon graduation she continued her studies at St. Cloud State University where she earned her Bachelor’s degree to be an English and Speech teacher.
Her first teaching position was at Technical High School in St. Cloud in 1970, focusing on English and Speech.
While studying at college, she fell in love with her future husband, Ron. Pam and Ron were married in June 1972.
They purchased their forever home in 1975 and moved from St. Cloud to Otsego, MN when Ron secured a job in St. Paul. Two years after the move, they were blessed with the birth of their daughter, Anna. With the arrival of Anna, Pam made the decision to become a full-time Mom. Once Anna started school, Pam embarked on new activities including: being a Girl Scout Troop leader, Avon lady, property manager, church building committee member, Sunday School Superintendent, and ISD 728 Youth Coordinator through Community Education.
When Anna graduated from Elk River High School in 1995 and went off to college, Pam decided she would also return to school commencing her studies through St. Cloud State University to become a school counselor. Upon graduation, Pam embarked on a 20+ year career as a high school counselor at Elk River High School.
Pam retired in June 2014. Retirement offered Pam the opportunity to do more volunteer work within the community. She divided her time amongst: serving on the CAER Board of Directors, as well as being a weekly CAER volunteer, serving on multiple committees at her church (Elk River Lutheran Church), and serving for 22 years on the Otsego Planning Commission, with 12 of those years as elected chairperson.
When she was not out and about in the community, she was tending to her beloved hosta gardens, designing her deck planters each spring or immersing herself in her true passion of genealogy research of her and Ron’s extended families.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Ron, daughter Anna (Mike), grandson Colin, sister Pat and brother William (Joanne); together with nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and many friends and colleagues.
A Celebration of Life Service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Elk River Lutheran Church, 729 Main St, with visitation starting at 10:00 AM.
