Nancy Ann (Jordan) Bonine

Nancy Ann Bonine, age 69 of Nowthen, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, October 22, 2025. She was born in Fridley on April 15, 1956 to Maurice and Margaret (Hartfield) Jordan.

Nancy graduated from Anoka High School and attended Anoka Vo-Tech earning a degree in accounting. She was a dedicated employee for many years with E.L.K. Mechanical in Ramsey and held numerous other jobs throughout her lifetime.

On November 4, 1989, Nancy married the love of her life, Jerry Bonine.

Nancy enjoyed camping, vacations, concerts, theater, motorcycle rides, and eating at restaurants. She could often be found shopping, listening to music, or going to watch her brother Bill and his band. She cherished time spent with her family and numerous friends and she had a deep love for animals. She had a heartfelt belief that “family helps family”.

Nancy was a social butterfly who brought joy to every family gathering and holiday event. She was compassionate and was always there with a helping hand.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Margaret Jordan; and

sister, Joyce Jordan.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Jerry Bonine; children, Mary Jordan (Jeff), Jim Jordan; grandchildren, Clayton and Carter; siblings, Bill, Jeanette, Jim, Joanne; and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Nancy’s name are preferred to an animal rescue of donor’s choice, to help all the animals Nancy cared about.

Visitation will be held Saturday, November 1, 2025 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Dare’s Funeral Home in Elk River, MN. Funeral service will be held Sunday, November 2, 2025 at 11:00 AM, with visitation one hour prior, at Dare’s Funeral Home, 805 Main St NW, Elk River, MN. Burial following at Orono Cemetery in Elk River, MN.
