Myra Helen (Vetsch) Olson

Myra Helen Olson, age 96 of Elk River, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. She was born June 28, 1929 to Anthony and Ruth (Michaels) Vetsch, and grew up on the family farm in St. Michael.

On July 21, 1952 Myra Vetsch married the love of her life, John Olson.

She enjoyed fishing, spending time at the cabin, playing cards, and time with family and friends. She was a nurturing mom, grandmother and friend to many who loved taking care of others with the most giving and loving personality.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John; children, John, Joann, Wayne; and many siblings.

Myra is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Mike); grandchildren, Kari, David, Shawn, Hannah; great-grandchildren, Kyla, Keenan, Chase; bonus daughter, Monica; and many other family.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 13, 2026 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, with Parish Prayers and a time of sharing at 6:00 PM, at Dare’s Funeral Home of Elk River, MN. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at 12:30 PM, with visitation beginning at 11:30 AM, at the Church of Saint Andrew in Elk River, MN. Burial following at St. Andrew Cemetery in Elk River, MN.
