Michael S. Hollenbeck passed away March 7, 2020 at the age of 67, with family by his side.
Mike was born one of six children to parents, Alton and Edyth Hollenbeck, on December 31, 1952. After graduating from Augsburg College, Mike spent many years at Red Owl/SuperValu before retiring. Whether traveling with his wife of 42 years and their family, attending his grandchildren’s many activities, or spending time outside, Mike’s compassionate and kind demeanor was ever-present. He was well-loved and he lived a wonderful life.
Mike’s family is thankful to the many strangers who stopped to help during this sudden and unexpected event. His family is also grateful for Mike’s donation to LifeSource, as this final act of giving was always important to him.
Mike is survived by his wife, Lani; children, Adam and Emily; their spouses, Megahn and Marzell; grandchildren, Jazmyn, Khaliana, Wyatt, and Miara; and countless friends and family members.
Mike’s life is being celebrated on Friday, March 13, 2020 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Lupulin Brewing, 570 Humboldt Drive #117, Big Lake. This is a child-friendly event; friends and family of all ages are invited to join Mike’s family in honoring him.
