Michael Andrew Nicholson

Michael Andrew Nicholson was born in Fridley, MN, on March 14, 1981.  He was welcomed by his parents, Don and Sherry, his brother, Brian, and sister, Kristy.  As a cuddly baby and tenderhearted boy, he brought joy to his family. 

Michael used his artistic abilities to express himself, putting much effort into his projects.  From Lego building when he was small, to drawing, painting, and crafting, he was resourceful and passionate about the things he did. 

Michael spent countless hours riding his bike in the solitude of the woods and on the trails where he enjoyed the quietness of nature.  He also enjoyed visiting his Grandma Nicholson, for whom he had a particular fondness. 

Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roy and Verna Nicholson and Emil and Irene Gross.  He is survived by his parents, Don and Sherry Nicholson of Elk River; siblings, Brian (Beth) Nicholson and Kristy (Nolan) Finlayson; nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousins. 

Although Michael struggled throughout his life, there are some memories that we will hold close to our hearts.  We look to our Heavenly Father, ...”who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” (2 Corinthians 1:4)
