Michael Robert Nesser

Michael Robert Nesser, aka “Big Sexy”, age 39 of Zimmerman, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 4, 2025. He was born in Fridley on January 13, 1985 to Michael Voigt and Nancy Nesser.

He attended St. Francis High School in St. Francis where he made many lasting friendships. While in elementary and middle school, he enjoyed playing on the hockey team. He owned and operated Cowboy Lawns, making beautiful landscapes. He spent time volunteering with the Salvation Army.

He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, tattoos, working out, fishing, shopping, eating, and hanging out with his family and friends. He had the ability to take something and turn it into something else and repurpose electronics. There was nothing wrong with a little super glue in Mike’s eyes. He cherished his children and loved being around them.

Known for his goofy and energetic personality, he was a one-of-a-kind prankster who could always be counted on to bring a smile to anyone’s face. His infectious laughter and playful spirit brightened the room wherever he went. Beneath his jokes and antics, Mike had the heart of a teddy bear – caring, compassionate and always ready to lend a hand to those in need.

With his signature polish flair, he took great pride in his appearance, always sporting a perfectly matching watch.

Preceded in death by his mom, Nancy Nesser; maternal grandfather; and paternal grandmother.

Mike is survived by his children, Desiree, Mary Jane, Michael Jr., Khloe, Myla; fiancée, Danielle Swader and her children: Andrew, Brayden, Greyson; dad, Michael Voigt; step-mom, Sherry; sisters, Brianna, Meranda, Paige, Missy; brothers, Jesse, Dustin; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends.
