Michael Stephen Krier, 66, of Elk River, passed away on March 3, 2026, in Minneapolis, MN. Born on May 11, 1959, Michael was known for his calm, gentle, and caring nature, always ready to help others in need.
Michael graduated from North High School and DeLaSalle, and he channeled his passion for craftsmanship into a successful career as a custom cabinet maker. He specialized in creating high-end wood cabinets, a testament to his skill and dedication to his craft.
Michael was a devoted husband to Cheryl and a loving father to Ryan Fulin, Steve Krier (Randi), Tiffanie Mullins (Matt), and Lindsey Ros (Sokha). He was a cherished grandfather to Maiya, Maison, Kelsi, Alex, Charlee, Kylie, and Axle. His family circle included his sister, Chris Dougherty (Jim), and brother, Nick Krier (Kathy), as well as his mother-in-law, Delores Setula, and Cheryl’s siblings, Bruce Jones (Shirley) and Kris Haley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas and Donna (Higgins) Krier.
Michael’s hobbies included deer and pheasant hunting, fishing for Northern Pike, and spending time at his cabin. He was also a talented musician, playing the bass and guitar, and enjoyed sitting around a campfire with close friends, listening to music.
A Celebration of Michael's life will be from 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at The Mill Site, 111 Harrison St, Anoka, MN 55330
Michael’s life was a testament to his loving nature and his craftsmanship, leaving a lasting legacy through both his family and his work.
