Mary Lou (Langerud) Lien

Age 87, of Elk River, MN (formerly of Wadena, MN).  Passed away on December 25, 2025.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Duane “Red”; parents, Sigurd and Minnie (De Florin) Langerud; daughter, Mara Jo Lien.

Mary Lou is survived by her son, Dennis (Leslie) Lien (Richfield, MN); daughters, Krista (Chuck) Potter (Dakota, MN) and Melissa (Ken) Jordan (Merrifield, MN); grandchildren, Brady, Bennett, Preston, and Mara; siblings, Joan Gerhardson, John (Karen) Langerud, and Sigurd Langerud; nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Mary Lou owned and operated Lien’s Hobby Hollow in Wadena for many years.  She enjoyed crafts of all kinds, playing cards, camping when the kids were young, trips to Door County, WI, spending time with family and many special friends, and decorating and entertaining for the holidays.

Mass of Christian burial at 12:30 PM on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at the Church of St. Andrew, 566-4th St NW, Elk River, with visitation starting at 11:30 AM.
