Mary Beth Wells (born Claypool), our beloved wife, mother, and sister who was enjoyed by all for her sense of humor and thoughtfulness, passed away at home in Elk River, MN on May 30. Born in Bemidji, MN in 1957, she peacefully went into God's care after a 15-month battle with pancreatic cancer.
Gone way too young, she will be dearly missed by her husband of 48 years, Ken Wells; her children, John Wells and Beth Wells (Tricia); sisters, Janet (Brad) Simenson and Yvonne (Jack) Cronmiller; in-law's Jack Wells (Mary Ann), Ronald Wells, Betty Wells, Richard Wells (Suzanne), Jerry (Debbie) Wells, Judi Wells; as well as her 18 beloved nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews that meant so much to her. She has gone home to be with those who have left us with only memories here on earth, including her parents, John Claypool and Irene (Dokken); brother, Gerald Claypool; in-laws, Arthur Wells and Dorothy (Magoon); her sisters-in-law , Linda Wells and Theresa (TC) Wells; brother-in-law Larry Wells; and her niece, Angela Simenson.
Her celebration of life will begin with a visitation on June 17th at 10 a.m., followed by her funeral at 11 a.m., with lunch to follow. Please join us in celebrating Mary at Elk River Lutheran Church or virtually through the church's website.
