Marlys Dorothy (Moylan) Cudd

Marlys Dorothy Cudd, age 83 of Elk River, MN, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2024. She was born September 20, 1940 in Minneapolis, MN, to Harold and Myrtle (Leverson) Moylan.

Marlys and her husband, Robert, began their life together and resided in Rogers for 30 years before moving to the cabin in Aitkin for 20 years. In 2015, life brought them to Otsego until Robert’s passing, then Marlys moved to Elk River.

Marlys enjoyed trips to the casino with her family and friends and playing slot machines. When Marlys was unable to travel to the casino, she would enjoy going to McCoy’s with her family and play pull-tabs.

Marlys was the life of the party and she was very loved by everyone at Guardian Angels. Her promptness and tidiness will be cherished and remembered by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lloyd Cudd; son, Mark Allen Cudd; and parents, Harold and Myrtle Moylan.

Marlys is survived by her daughters, Shelly Cichon (Donn Hellwig), Kelly (Pat) Launderville; grandchildren, Kayla Nelson, James (Amanda) Kasper, Brittany (Chris) Harris, Cassie Nodland, Garrett Launderville, Cody (Jeannie) Cudd; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Sandy Moylan, Debbie (Matt) Braun, Bobby (Jeannie) Moylan; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A Celebration of Life honoring Marlys will be held Monday, July 8, 2024 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Dare’s Funeral Home of Elk River, 805 Main St NW.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred in Marlys’ name.
