Marlyce Kilmartin Bailey

Marlyce Kilmartin Bailey, “Musz” age 96, lifetime resident of Elk River, died May 26, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Patrick & Eva Kilmartin; her husband, Albert Bailey; and sister Shirley Svendsen. 

Survived byher children, Patty (Steve) Miller and Tim (Maggie). Grandmother of Keith Miller (Julia), children, Gray and August; Scott (Sara) Miller children Quinn and Leo; Amy (Patrick) Candlin children Albert and Sigrid; Lauren Bailey and Kerry (Brody) Rothert .Musz is survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who loved her dearly.

Musz graduated from St. Barnabas Nursing School as an RN. She volunteered as a nurse for many community health events. She was a lifetime member and an ultimate volunteer Union Congregational Church, well known for her pickle making.   Musz kept busy walking, playing tennis, sewing, and cross-stitching, as well as various community activities. Musz and Al loved motor homing to National Parks, watching their grandchildren’s sports often an hour drive one way.  The kids would find a new treat at home when they had been there. Elk River High School were also followed by them, I’m sure some of you remember them watching your children or grandchildren. She often visited and brought cookies to friends and relatives at Guardian Angels Care Center. We will always remember her as a loving and caring mother, grandmother and friend who selflessly cared for her friends and relatives.

Service Monday, June 12, 2023 12 PM Union Congregational Church of Christ 1118 4th St. NW Elk River, MN. visitation 1 hour prior to service at church.

Memorials preferred to Guardian Angels of Elk River or donor’s choice.
