Age 83, of Saint Michael, Minnesota passed away peacefully on November 7, 2022. She was born and raised on the family farm in Barronett, Wisconsin. Marlene dedicated her life to raising her kids while she held a lifelong career as a nurse practitioner, a true reflection of her desire to help others.
Marlene’s many passions in her life included her deep faith in God, golfing traveling, volunteering, gardening, reading and spending time with her family. She was also a masterful quilter and loved gifting her beautiful quilts to her children.
Marlene was always true to her Wisconsin roots and spent a lot of her summers back on the family farm in Barronett, in Shell Lake with family and throughout the years in Cumberland where she owned a historic Victorian style home hosting many family holidays and gatherings.
Marlene was a kind, sweet, funny, feisty, loving mom/grandma/friend and will be so greatly missed by family and friends whose lives she touched in so many ways.
Marlene is preceded in death by her daughter, Kristin; husband, Richard Swan; siblings, Geraldine Karasek, Claire Dovell, Richard Benson and James Benson.
Marlene is survived by her children, Mark (Victoria) Peery, Jeni (Daniel) Harwell, Susie (John) Supper, and Ann Jacobson; grandchildren, Miranda, Jessica (Harry), Wade (Autumn), Calvin, Ryan, Cole, and Savannah; father of her children, Bill Peery; other family and friends.
A Celebration of Marlene’s life will be held in 2023 at a date to be determined by the family.
