Obituary

Marlene Ann Petersen, age 89 of Elk River, MN passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 6, 2023. She was born February 25, 1934 in Elkton, SD.

Marlene enjoyed camping and traveling, garage sales, many types of crafting, and visiting with family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Eldon; Baby Boy Petersen; parents, Christopher and Anna; and siblings.

Marlene is survived by her children, Brenda (Gary), Cindy (Paul), Dean; granddaughters, Tania (Bob), Sara (Lon); great-grandchildren, Jake and Lorelai; sister, Carol (Clifford); and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to donor’s choice in memory of Marlene.

A special thank you to the loving staff at BeeHive Homes Memory Care for their care and compassion to mom and our family, especially during this last week.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at 12:00 PM, with visitation one hour prior, at Dare’s Funeral Home, 805 Main St NW, Elk River, MN.
