Marian Alcott (Gray) Sundquist

Sundquist, Marian A., loving mother and wife, passed away on June 24, 2024 at the age of 86. Marian was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on February 13, 1938. 

She is preceded in death by her husband and high school sweetheart, David Sundquist; father, Kenneth W. Alcott; and parents, Florence (Chute Alcott) and Edwin Gray. 

She is survived by her daughters, Wendy (Brian Lowey) Sundquist, Lauri (Dan) Altendorf, Patty (Don) Anderson; brothers, Bruce (Pam) Gray, Loren (Rita) Gray, Dr. Mark (Cathy) Gray; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Marian worked as a homemaker until her girls were in school and then worked in clerical positions over the years for a number of companies including General Mills and Hoover. She had a lifelong interest in sewing, choral music and gardening. When her husband retired in 1986 the two of them spent many happy years at their cabin on West Fox Lake in Minnesota and in Arizona before moving back to the Twin Cities. 

A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
