Age 65, passed away peacefully at home with her husband of 37 years Terry Shonyo by her side, after a valiant effort with cancer.
Lynne and Terry enjoyed life together on their 20-acre hobby farm in Elk River for nearly three decades. They treasured the log cabin home they built, the many lucky dogs (including Patty and Bella) that shared their life and hundreds of horses, goats, chickens, pigeons, rabbits and other animals they raised during that time. Lynne enjoyed a lifelong passion for horses and built an impressive business raising meat goats and American rabbits. She was proud to be a founding member of the Minnesota Meat Goat Producers, enjoyed the community immensely and took great pride in the myotonic (fainting) and Nubian goats she raised.
Lynne graduated from Elk River High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Fluid Power Technology at Hennepin Technical College. She enjoyed a 30-year career in Quality Control at Bondhus Corporation.
Lynne is survived by her husband Terry; siblings, Leo, Kay (Jim) Mika, Carleen, Bonnie, and Jennifer; stepson, Jake (Ashley); grandsons, Aiden, Andrew, and Dylan; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Marie LeVasseur; and niece Joanie.
Services will be private per Lynne’s wishes.
