Lucille Ann Arndt, passed away peacefully at age 90 on January 7, 2024. She was born on July 6, 1933 in Alexandria, Minnesota to the late Frank and Matilda (Kalina) Cihlar. Lucille was united in marriage to Wendell Arndt on June 21, 1955 at St. John. Nepomuk Catholic Church in Lake Reno Township, Minnesota. Most of their married life they lived in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota. During their retirement years they divided their time between Hinkley, Minnesota and Pharr, Texas.
Lucille is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 66 years, Wendell; son, Daniel; sons-in-law, John Hoag, Michael VanHoutan; grandsons, Joey Maass, Zachery Hoag; great-granddaughter, Alexis VanHoutan; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Donna (Jerome) Suchy.
Lucille is survived by her children, Terry Hoag, Jane (Howard) Maass, Doug (Dawn) Arndt, Greg Arndt, Patti VanHoutan; grandchildren, Brett, Josh, Cassie, Stephanie, T.J., Allison, Jacob, Emma; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Mervin (Jean) Cihlar; sister, Lorraine (Gary) Goebel; brothers-in-law, Vernon (Karen) Arndt, Gery (Bev) Arndt, Dennis (Chris) Arndt, David (Suzanne) Arndt; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, January 26, 2024 at 11:00 AM, with visitation one hour prior, at Mary Queen of Peace – St. Martin Campus, 21304 Church Ave, Rogers, MN. Burial at St. Martin’s Cemetery in Rogers.
