Lori Kay Herrboldt was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She went to meet her lord after a decade long battle with cancer on September 14th, 2022 at age 67.
Lori was born on July 30th, 1955 to Harold and Alice (Peterson) Villnow in Milaca, MN. Lori graduated from Milaca High School in 1973.She then married Leroy Herrboldt on September 28th, 1974 in Milaca, MN. Lori worked a variety of jobs, however she found the most fulfillment in her work as a cook.
Lori loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her family. She also loved playing cards, games, puzzles, fishing, sewing, baking, sharing recipes, bird watching, gardening, reading, and most of all, spending time with her seven grandchildren. She loved spending time with her family on vacations, especially those to Big Boy Lake.
She was a devout Christian and an active member of Lord of Glory Lutheran Church in Elk River, MN where she loved attending senior bible study class.
Lori is survived by her husband of 48 years Leroy, children Mike (Danika) Herrboldt, Mark (Katie) Herrboldt, Leah (Chris) Merten, grandchildren Travis Herrboldt, Elle Herrboldt, Ashley Herrboldt, Noah Merten, Blake Merten, Marty Merten, and Wyatt Herrboldt, siblings Vandon (Liz) Villnow, Loren (Sue) Villnow, Margaret (Gene) Packard, Tom (Char) Villnow, Judy Secord, Kenny Villnow, Karen Broehl, and sister-in-law Sandy Villnow, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Lori is preceded in death by her parents Harold and Alice Villnow, her brother Harold Villnow Jr, and brother-in-law Larry Secord.
A celebration of Lori’s life will be at 11:00AM on Wednesday, September 21st, 2022 at Lord of Glory Lutheran church, 15550 - 190th Avenue NW, Elk River, with visitation starting at 10:00AM.
Interment Bailey Station Cemetery, Big Lake Township.
