Loletta Holland Obituary

Loletta Marie Holland, age 84, living in Princeton, MN passed away peacefully on October 17th at the Elim Nursing Home in Princeton.  Loletta was born on July 16, 1937 in Winona County, MN the daughter of Edward and Margaret (Kerns) Richmond.  She was one of twelve girls and five boys.

Loletta grew up in the southern Minnesota area with her family.  She met Glenn Holland in 1954 while she was visiting her sister near Ely, MN and while Glenn was riding his motorcycle.  They were married in 1955 and lived in Princeton, Dakota, Milaca and Elk River, MN.  Loletta and Glenn were blessed with two children, two grandsons and three great granddaughters.

Loletta loved to spend time with her family (and being a sister, Mom, Grandmother and Great Grandmother), to shop (we teased her she bought things just to need another shopping trip for returns), playing cards, travelling to Arizona in the winter after Glenn retired, entertaining and cooking for company and also, to visit the Casinos wherever she travelled.

Loletta was also part Gypsy.  She loved to move (not just locations, but the furniture in the house), and in fact moved from an upstairs apartment to the first floor apartment one day while Glenn was at work.  She never thought about having to change all the utilities and she saved the heavy moving for Glenn.

Loletta was loving, caring and had a fun and outgoing personality.  She could easily visit with anyone she met.  Everyone (including family, friends and those at the Home) agreed she was always positive, smiling, appreciative and a very strong fighter.

She is survived by her two children, Pam (Mike) Muckerheide, and Phil (Dianne Greenwood) Holland, grandsons Brandon Holland and Max Muckerheide, great granddaughters Natalia, Addison and Kirra, siblings Bess, Rosie, Rich, Bonnie, Larry, Rhonda, Nancy, Corinne, Deb, Tom, Carlin and Carnel, along with many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years Glenn, her parents Edward and Margaret Richmond, siblings, Arnie Richmond, Don Richmond, Annie Delozier, Mavis Pfarr and Jean Henderson.
