Laurie Bryant Obituary

Laurie Irene Bryant, 66, went home to Jesus, Friday, May 11th at her Zimmerman home with her family close by. Laurie was born May 6, 1952 in Mora, MN to Paul and Margaret Bronniche. In 1971 Laurie graduated from St. Paul Technical College with her Clinical Lab Assistant Certification and started her career as a Medical Lab Assistant at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. On June 24th, 1972 Laurie married her sweetheart Bill Bryant. Together they raised two daughters: Karen and Wendy. Laurie was devoted to her family and was happiest when she was spending time with them. This devotion was rooted in her faith and trust in God. Laurie loved to travel and to experience new places. One of her and Bill's favorite places was the North Shore of Lake Superior. Laurie loved nature especially birds and flowers. After moving to Zimmerman in 2002 she kept track of the birds that visited their feeder. Together, Bill and Laurie, spent their spring and summer planting flowers in their ever-growing garden and enjoying nature with one another. Laurie is survived by her loving husband, Bill; her daughters, Karen (Gray) and Wendy (Griak); her sons-in-law, Chris (Gray) and Charlie (Griak); her grandchildren Joey (Gray) and Julia (Gray); and her grandpups, Buddy (Gray) and Echo (Griak). On June 16th there will be a celebration of Laurie's life with a visiting hour beginning at 10am, a celebration service at 11am with a lunch to follow. The celebration will be held at Cross Winds United Methodist Church in Maple Grove. In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to comofriends.org or your favorite charity.
