Laura Marie Granger, age 60, of Maple Grove, MN, passed away on January 22nd, 2026.
Laura was born on October 15th, 1965, to William and Virginia (Barrows) Granger in Morris, Illinois. She spent her younger years living in Rockford, Iowa before moving to Clarion – where she graduated from Clarion High School in 1984. She worked as a dental hygienist and ran an in-home daycare before joining the world of financial services in various administrative functions.
Laura will be remembered most for all the ways she made the world a more beautiful and loving place. Whether she was playing the piano, teaching the next generation of pianists, or blasting Coldplay, her love of music often filled a room. Laura was known for crafting – with the young kids of her daycare, with her daughters on the weekends, and with friends and neighbors throughout the years. Her home is filled with beautiful pieces and the memories of each project.
Laura loved her work. She was so proud of her efficiencies and accuracies. More importantly, Laura raved of the amazing relationships she had built over the years with colleagues, now friends, and the great times they had together. Whether Laura was bringing in Scotcheroos to share or hosting girls for a game night, Laura’s affection for her circle of friends was endless.
Most notably, Laura loved her granddaughter, Halina. Whether you wanted it or not, you were going to see a picture and hear a story. These two loved to play with Sweet Streets dollhouses, color rainbow pictures, and watch old Disney movies together. Halina loved running to Gramma for a BIG hug as soon as she walked in the door, and she was quick to remind us that this was “her Gramma – NOT YOURS”.
Laura was preceded in death by her father, Pr. William Granger.
Laura will be missed and remembered by her daughters, Monika (Greg) Belshaw and Ania Raginiak (Paul) as well as her granddaughter, Halina Belshaw (3). Additionally, her mother, Virginia Granger; her brother Dr. William (Deb) Granger Junior; and her sister, Sandra (Clark) Fletcher.
