Larry "Pete" Peter Rohlf

Larry Peter “Pete” Rohlf, age 82, of Elk River, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family and loved ones, on Saturday, October 5, 2024. Pete was born on June 11, 1942, in Elk River, Minnesota, to Harley and Margaret Rohlf. He was married to the love of his life, Corinne Rohlf, for 55 wonderful years.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Harley and Margaret Rohlf, and his sisters, Marilyn Chuba and Deanne Brindamour. He is survived by his beloved wife, Corinne, and his three daughters: Debra (Dennis) Hutton, Rochelle (Jay) VanKrevelen, and Rebecca (Mark) Doran. Pete was a proud grandfather to Matt (Emily) Rohlf, John VanKrevelen, Macey (Jayce) Oie, Katie (Ryan) Valk, Owen Doran, Elizabeth Doran, and Cameron Doran. He was also blessed with three great-grandchildren: Margot Oie, Charlotte Rohlf, and Harrison Valk.

Pete started his career working with his father in the plaster trade and later established his own successful stucco business. He was a skilled craftsman and used his talents to help build the homes of his children as they started their families.

An avid outdoorsman, Pete loved hunting, fishing, and spending time surrounded by nature. He cherished observing wildlife, and many of his fondest memories were made outdoors with family and friends. Pete had a natural ability to build lifelong friendships and treasured every moment spent with his loved ones, especially at the cabin he built himself.

Pete will be lovingly remembered for his big heart, big smile, and big sense of humor. His legacy of love, laughter, and generosity will live on through all who knew him.

A visitation will be held on Friday, October 18, at 9:30 a.m. at Central Lutheran Church, 1103 School St NW, Elk River, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., also at Central Lutheran.
