Kent Lindert Obituary

Kent Frederick Lindert age 72 of Elk River passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, with his family by his side.

Kent was born on September 6, 1952, to Kenneth and Irene (Kleman) Lindert. Kent graduated from Brooklyn Center High School in 1970 where he excelled in baseball. Kent went on to marry his high school sweetheart LuAnn Snaza on May 4, 1973. Their life started filled with love, laughter and 3 beautiful children: Jason, Gina, and baby girl Angel.

Kent earned a degree from Century College and then went on to drive truck for Rum River Lumber for over 20 years. Following his early retirement, Kent joined the Elk River School District where he worked as a delivery driver and met many wonderful people.

Kent was an avid Minnesota sports fan. Whether he was cheering on the Twins or traveling to multiple Vikings Super Bowls, he could always talk sports. Kent loved life and spending time with LuAnn. They could always be found fishing on one of their favorite lakes or traveling together all over the United States. Kent loved to tell stories or a good joke over the campfire. They loved their time together up at Lake Mille Lacs. With their lifelong friends, Kent was always up for a Happy Hour at Long Boards in South Padre. Kent’s love for life will be greatly missed, but will always live on in his wife, children, family, and friends.

Kent is preceded in death by his infant daughter; parents, Kenneth and Irene Lindert; brother, Jon Lindert; in-laws, Leonard and Evelyn Snaza; brother-in-law, Ronald Snaza.

Kent is survived by his loving wife of 51 years LuAnn Lindert; children, Jason (Jenny) Lindert and daughter Jordan, Gina Lindert and son Rylan; sisters, Janice Lindert, Jill (Gene) Urtel; sister-in-law’s, Sonia Lindert, Cindy (Steve) Olson, Marylin (Jim) Levoir, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Kent’s Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am, on Friday January 10th, 2025, at Central Lutheran Church of Elk River, with the visitation one hour prior. Following the service, we will hold a Celebration of Life and luncheon at the Elk River American Legion.
