Karen E. Thomas

Age 81, passed away peacefully on Dec 20th.  Preceded in death by her parents and brother, Duane Thomas.  Karen was employed at Connexus Energy (formerly Anoka Electric Cooperative) in HR from 1961 until her retirement in 2000.

Karen’s hobbies included tending to her many beautiful flower gardens, sewing, bird watching, drinking her morning coffee while reading the newspaper, watching the Timberwolves and Lynx basketball, playing bingo and going out to lunch with friends. Karen never went anywhere without a smile and lipstick.

Karen also devoted many years with Project Linus, making blankets for seriously ill children.

Karen is survived by niece, Natalie (Jon) Godfredson.  She was a proud and doting aunt to great nieces Paige (Cody) Sigfrid, Kylie Godfredson and Ella Godfredson.  Great-great aunt to Elsie Sigfrid, lifelong friends Aggie Kinneman, Goody Vokovan and many others.
