Age 64 of Elk River, passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Fridley surrounded by family, following a recent cancer diagnosis. Julie was a devoted wife, proud mother, loving grandmother, and good friend to many. A lifelong Midwesterner, she was born on May 3, 1956 spending her younger years in Osseo where she graduated high school. Julie married her soulmate, David on August 23, 1975 and shortly after found their forever home in Elk River. They welcomed their daughter, Jill on August 5, 1979, for which she became the world’s greatest mother. In 1981, Julie started her career at Diversified Plastics, Inc. of Brooklyn Park as a press operator. In December 2019, took an early retirement leaving her position as operations manager to enjoy life and travel the world. Julie will be affectionately remembered for her quick wit, persistence, sense of humor, kindness, and charisma. She loved to travel, always had at least one pet, and was known as “the one with the fancy fingernails”. She enjoyed her time outdoors with David taking care of their yard, playing Words with Friends and spending time on the deck having cocktails with family and friends. She was the life of the party and this family, and will be deeply missed! Preceded in death by parents Stuart & Kathleen, brothers Kevin & Greg and nephew Thomas. Survived by loving husband of 45 years David; daughter Jill (Ryan) Jenc of Zimmerman; grandchildren Brodric and Oliver Jenc; siblings Neil (Sheri) Warner of Zimmerman and Dave Warner of North Carolina; sister-in-law Linda Buckingham-Warner of Brooklyn Park; many loving relatives and friends.
