Jose Mendoza-Becerra

Age 78, from Poncitlán Jalisco. He died at his OTSEGO MN home on July 14, 2025 surrounded by his family.

Husband, friend and life partner of Eugenia Díaz, father of 9 children Juan, Jose, Javier, Jorge, Patricia, Ana, Jaime, Jesús & Julio.

José worked here in the United States for McDonalds and Landscape. Before getting married he decided that his children would start with the initial "J". He came to United States in 1967 and in 1993 decided to move to Minnesota.

José was a cheerful person, business man, intelligent, he loved to cook for his family, friendly, simple, humble, affectionate, elegant in boots and hat. José was a strong person, didnt’t like injections and medical appointments, he fought against the cruel cancer disease for 1 year. His life was a blessing but his memory a treasure for those he loved.

A commemorative meeting in honor of José Mendoza will be on Sunday, July 27 at 4pm. at the Dare’s funeral home, 805 Main Street NW, Elk River.
