John Danner

 Danner, John age 68, of Elk River, passed away August 30, 2023. John was born on June 7, 1955 to Edward and Esther (Kliever) Danner. He grew up on a dairy farm on the corner of C R 33 and Twin Lakes Road in Elk River.  He grew up with his two older brothers and sister.

John graduated from Elk River High School and started working for Cornelius Co., his place of work for 28 years. On April 4, 1981, he married Colleen Grund in Rogers, MN. John ended his career working for Life Fitness, until he retired in January 2022. John was a faithful and lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church. He loved camping with his family, visiting all of the Minnesota State Parks, fishing, and cheering on Minnesota sports teams. He was committed to his family and loved his 5 grandchildren. John is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Colleen; children: Nicholas (Ashley) Danner and Kyle (Andrea) Danner; grandchildren: Kaylin, Bria, Jackson, Hailey, and Noah; siblings: Sister-in-Law Anna Danner, Carolyn (Doug) Nelson, Bruce (Teresa) Danner; many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

John is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Esther Danner and brother, Richard Danner. Visitation will be held at St. John Lutheran Church, 9231 Viking Blvd, Elk River, MN 55330 on Friday, September 8, 2023 at 9:30 AM. A Funeral service will follow at 11 AM. Lunch will be served at the church following the service.
