Joanne Margaret (Stuefen) Jochum

Joanne Margaret Jochum, age 91, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 6, 2026. She was born March 21, 1935 to Hugo and Carrie (Temple) Stuefen.

On May 22, 1954, Joanne married the love of her life, Cyril Jochum. They went on to have a beautiful family, having three sons: Scott, Tom and Jim. She worked 40 years with her husband’s business, A&C Engineering.

Joanne loved gardening, fishing, playing cards, quilting, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends. She will be remembered for her caring, but sometime spicy, personality. She will be missed by many.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Cyril Jochum; parents, Hugo and Carrie Stuefen; and siblings, Richard and John “Jack”.

Joanne is survived by her loving sons, Scott (Deedra Hopkins), Tom (Jill), Jim (Jennifer); grandchildren, Luke, Jordan, Christopher, Nicholas, Christina, Jennifer, Jacqui, Joseph; great-grandson, Ezrah; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, July 19, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Lions Weicht Park Picnic Pavilion, 1104 Lions Park Drive, Elk River, MN.
