Joanne T. (Milless) Bourgeois

Joanne “Jinx” (Milless) Bourgeois, 95, of Otsego, died peacefully in the presence of her loving family on December 15, 2025.

Joanne was born on December 12, 1930 in Rogers, Minnesota to John and Flora (Deschene) Milless.  She married Ronald Bourgeois on June 9, 1951.

Joanne is preceded in death by brothers, Adrian, Henry, Melvin, Ed, Donald and Jack; sisters, Florence, Corrine, Bernice, Merriam and Dorothy; daughter-in-law, Lauri Bourgeois.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald; children, Tim (Sharon), Terry (Theresa), Todd (Julie), Tina (Dana Anderson, Tom (Donna), Ted, Teresa (Jason) Guiney; 21 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; brother, Bob (Alice) Milless; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Joanne worked at Rogers State Bank and St. Martin’s Catholic School.  She enjoyed flowers and gardens.  At their home in Rogers she had rose bushes, morning glories and many other flowers.  She was an avid bird watcher – especially Cardinals (her favorite), hummingbirds and orioles.  As a family, they used to travel and camp with the children.  Joanne always had her rosary by her bedside and recited the rosary often.

Mass of Christian burial at 11:00AM on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at the Church of St Andrew, 566-4th St NW, Elk River, with visitation starting at 10:00AM.  Fr. Mark Innocenti will preside.  Interment at St John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Dayton, MN.
